Hi everyone,

I do a PHAR course and was wondering, if I failed the finals, would I get to do a supp exam? Like, how does it work? Do you just get an email? Or are supp exams only for special cases for those who filled out a form? It's a hard course, just passed mid-sem (average was 57% I think), assessment mark is distinction though, finals is 60%.

You should check within the faculty that the course is in. Supplementary exams aren't common in Australian universities. They are usually for people who almost passed e.g. 48,49.

Supplementary exams can vary from course to course. Really it's up to the conveners.

I suggest you send an e-mail now only if you are definitely missing the exam. If you have the opportunity to sit the exam, sit the exam; then after the exam if you don't feel confident enough that you passed, send the course convener an e-mail regarding if there is a supplementary exam or not.
