Someone help me with t-method (1 Viewer)

i don't understand t-method, can someone please do this question for me with worked solutions and try and explain it for me, i am always confused when i get one of these.
Q. By letting t = tan( theta/2) prove tha (1 - cos(theta)/ 1 +cos (theta) = tan^2(theta)

Your question is wrong. RHS should be tan^2(theta/2).
