Hi, can someone help me out and estimate my scaled mark. I cant say what school im from but I will say the average compared to the state.

Mathematics: 94/100 (1st in class) About 6% above state
Maths Ext 1: 41/50 (2nd in class) About 11% above state
SDD: 90/100 (1st in class) About 10% above state
Biology: 90/100 (1st in class) About 5% below state
SOR 1 unit: 48/50 (1st in class) Around even with state
Physics: 80/100 (1st in class) Around 3-4% above state
English: 70/100 (1st in class) Well below state

Thanks for any help

Anyway, it's about an 80 UAI:

Mathematics: 78.5
Maths Ext 1: 43.2
SDD: 77.5
Biology: 72.5
SOR 1 unit: 37.9
Physics: 75.8
English: 75

UAI: 79.30

There was ONE band five. E1 maths. Everything else was band 4.

He told me his percentage relative to the state, and I told him his UAI.

I'm, assuming by 6% above state he's in the 44th percentile.

Unless he wants to revise his ability to something better.

I dont think you read his question right. He said the % above state average is the average of his class, not his. That is what the year before his did compared to the state

hahahaha you're such a fucker keypad- you know full well that raw marks don't resemble aligned ones and a lot of those subjects would be in band six

i'd say ~97? i didn't really look too hard

edit: i remember last year someone was given a prediction 90-93 and they got 99 and a half, so be wary of people who give these predictions out

Well then bugger it, I can't be stuffed fiddling with Standard Deviation, number of people in his class etc.

Anyway, I wasn't given enough information to discern the results. I need to know some class sizes, and how vastly superior to his class he is (in terms of standard deviations).

Laz, help?

I didn't input raw marks, I ended up getting the UAI for the average person in all his classes :S

At least now you know you'll kill an 80 UAI :p

Lol.

If we had the school, then we can tell you if you're getting a 96 UAI or a 100.xx UAI :p

Becuase the UAI calculator requires scaled marks and that what he posted this thread for, to get his raw marks estimated into scaled marks
