lol nah thats rn -1 not rn-1 :uhhuh:
Lol, you are right.

I used 0.1 as a rate so I am wrong. It's funny how I mixed my rate up with some random questions that I was doing - lol.

Never do 2 questions simulatenously - this is what happens!

lol yay =)
anyway i did 9B
once u know the intersections u can sub in the values and u get simultaneous equations
4=a/2 1=a/8 from any one of those u get a=8
from the line u get 4=2m+b and 1=8m+b
b=1-8m sub it into the first one 2m+1-8m=4 m=-1/2 b= 5
now u got ur equations y=8/x and y= -1/2x+5

then u integrate them to find the area
from 8 to 2 S (-1/2x+5-8/x)dx = [-x^4/4+5x-8ln x] 8 to 2
= -16+40-8ln 8 - (-1+10-8ln 2)
= 15 - 8ln8+8ln 2
= 15 - 24ln 2 +8ln 2=15-16ln 2 QED

He didn't ask for 9b though.

What a dilligent worker you are~ :)
