the area of the shaded region is equal to pi since the area of the shaded region is 16pi/16=pi so you::
....8sinx-2x=Area of shaded region =>8sinx-2x=pi => 8sinx-2x-pi=0
I hope that helped :)

Solve x^2/3 + x^1/3 -6 =0

i tried to factor out x^p/q and then raising it to the power of q but no hope...

dang pluvia just by a min..

use u=x^1/3

Treat x1/3 as the unknown you are trying to find at the moment
Thus factorising becomes
(x1/3+3)(x1/3-2)=0
x1/3=-3,2
x=-33,23
=-27,8

Solve x^2/3 + x^1/3 -6 =0

use u = x ^ (1/3)

sub it in , so

u^2 + u - 6 = 0

(u + 3)(u-2) = 0

u=2 or u=-3

u = x ^ 1/3

x ^ 1/3 = 2

x = 8

or x ^ 1/3 = -3

x = - 27
