Ok, to all u people out there, i need your advice.
over these past few months, i've become very good friends with this girl. i also developed a massive crush on her, which will not go away. however from the time i met her, up until now, she's had a boyfriend.

But, now that's over, and i'm not sure what to do. i'm definately gonna ask her out, but i'm wondering how long i should wait. Is there a 'grieving' period of some length i should wait?

Anyway, your thoughts on this issue would be much appreciated. Thanks...

its so sweet you guys are already close friends...the best foundation everrrr for a relationship!

i guess just chat to her about how she's feeling and just see where she's at.
Some girls wake up the next day ready to get back into it (not sure why:p)...and others take a while... so yeah just do it when she seems ready for it...
let us know how it all turns out! :) :) :)

lol, im in a similar situation except we've spoken very little, i did a terms tutoring but i didn't find it was for me, anyway thats where i met her, only spoke to her 3-4 times.

but after i left, i saw her + said hi a couple of times at the station, where she's remembered me about 3 months later, and also spoke to her after school.

Anyway, until recently i forgot about her due to other things going on in my life, but my friend me and my friend were discussing who we would go out with, and somehow, my friend knew a friend who was friends with her, through this i found out her MSN, but also found out she has a boyfriend. lol, so what are the chances she and her boyfriend may have a fallout during the leap form hsc to uni?, i think they've been together for 2-3 months..

in the mean time, im kinda planning on just attempting to get to know her better through msn, but she rarely goes on.

EDIT: lol, sorry im not in a similar situation and i also apologise for hijacking your thread, but you prolly got your answers up there.

I'd give it a couple of weeks.

And for people who sit and wait for the people they like to break up with their bf/gf... that's a bit lame. Time to get over it and look for someone else.

You don't wanna jump in too soon, esp if you're a friend cos it could seem like you were just becoming/staying friends with her to get her to like you, and that can have...less than good consequences. by the same token, you dont wanna wait too long in case someone else takes up the opportunity. all in all i guess you'll just have to play it by ear - try to find out how she's feeling and whether she's ready to move on. just be wary - she could end up using you as a rebound - someone to make her feel better while she's getting over this guy and dump you when she's regained her emotional stability... but i guess whatever the rlnship and circumstances there's always the chance that it'll end so...go for it when you feel comfortable. good luck!
