But thats not saying that they can't put an XOR and a NOT next to each other and ask you to do a truth table - they just can't ask you to identify the above truth table as an XNOR gate.

Unfortunately i gotta agree with winston
The syllabus says

Electronic circuits to perform standard software operations
logic gates, including:
AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR, XOR
truth tables
circuit design steps
identify inputs and outputs
identify required components
check solution with a truth table
evaluate the circuit design
specialty circuits, including:
half adder
full adder
flip-flops as a memory store

Means you gotta know all the gates, their truth tables, how to use them, and how to construct flipflips and adders.

I think you also need to learn how full adders are combined to make an 8 bit calculation....i think not sure

I think im fine with the logic gates at the moment.

Though converting binary and shit is confusing :/
