Last time it was raining bad at o-week.. And I only realised that they moved the stalls inside the roundhouse until really late :/. Anyhow, the progcomp from o-week is really worth coming for (im sure there'll be one)

yeah if party poppers, chick drinks, and right wing evangelical christians are your idea of good clean fun...then yes.

I believe some of my female friends were invited to a bible sleep over. Now thats a party!
DAMNIT! Now why didn't I go to UNSW, I could have gone to a BIBLE SLUMBER PARTEH and drowned in intellectual snobbery, the FAR OUT RADICAL WHIZZ BANG social life of UNSW and uberJEEEZUS.

Remember, this is "bring an infidel" week, so make sure you dig up a bum at the train station or find some scungy art student and bring them along! We'll offer them food, succor and swap stories about Jesus - hopefully they'll see the error of their ways and stop bothering us!

I'm not quite sure how a thread about the UNSW Social scene turned into O Week and Bible study sleepovers.

Let me just say that there are heaps of things to do while at uni, all you have to do is find them. There are dance parties, trivia nights, bands, comedians, pool comps, harbour cruises, camps - not just Bible study ones - and a crapload of clubs/sports. But there are also a lot of volunteer activities, which I highly recommend because you get to meet a lot of new people which, if you're like me and don't like getting out of your comfort zone to get to know new people, is really great.

In fact, the difference betweenthe people who can't wait to finish their degree and get out of uni and those who really enjoy their uni years is usually that those who enjoy their time at uni tend to get involved in what there is to offer. So my advice is: you're going to be at uni for a while (3, 4, 5 or more years), so do what you can to enjoy yourself while you're there.

P.S. Oh yeah, and apparently O Week is ok. ;)

i'm amazed that you're accusing other people of intellectual snobbery
