uuuum using my focus study from last year for continuity and change, you could take a look at japan, from the traditional edo period up till the present. How modernisation/urbanisation/westernisation have affected the social make up of the country ie institutions such as education, marriage, government etc and the roles of different persons. Cultural change ties in very nicely here as well.
