Henry is very media savvy. If we donn't do much better in Europe over the next couple of seasons I'm sure he'd love to try out Spain for a new challenge or a greater shot at the Champions League.

Reyes' family have unsettled him and moved back to Spain, I don't blame the guy for wanting to go back and even if we sell him to Madrid we'd get a very good price.

dunno bout Barca buying Henry for 35+ million pound

one: barca don't have that money, true they like to spend like madrid, but they are also smart on who to buy

two: they don't really need another striker, they bought Lopez, and they have Eto', Guily, Ronaldinho and Larsson(yes, he is injuried this season, but imageine if he is fit)

three: they are more into buying a right winger(Shaun wright phillip apparently is their target), a defender, and a defensive mid

hmm

been reading soccernet.com for the past few days
there is a huge hype around england's chances of winning the WC in germany cos of their win against Northern Ireland, and against Azerbaijan. Personally, i can't see them winning yet until everyone of their fist XI hits form and that they are toally fit squad wise.
Beckahm hasn't been playing too well since his move from Madrid and Owen hasn't been playing much, and England really need these 2 player to fire up during the tournment

but then again, i guess its too early to predict anything

They need someone to cement the left wing spot along with rightback, then their midfield would be pretty much world class. The ideal england squad which i think is capable of challenging for the WC :

gk:ROBINSON/KIRKLAND
DR:?
DL:COLE
DC:TERRY
DC:RIO
MR:BECKHAM/SW PHILLIPS
MC: GERRARD
MC: LAMPARD
ML:?
FC:OWEN
FC:ROONEY

kirkland winning the world cup.... ?
Kirkland's not that bad a keeper u kno...a good back up for Robinson. He can be very good when fully fit, which is hardly ever though :p

I think he's spent half his career at Liverpool injured, the new 'Sicknote'

Yeah I know.. to be honest I think Bolton was the biggest hurdle, seeing as we had no 100% fit/eligible forwards. By the time we play Arsenal away we'll have everyone (including Alonso, probably not Cisse though) back from injury.

Morientes
Baros
Riise Garcia
Gerrard Alonso
Hamann

Traore Carragher Pellegrino Finnan

Dudek/Carson

Not such a bad team, probably with the option of bringing Kewell on to run at tired Arsenal defenders as well.

Not necessarily. One specialist said he needs at least 6 weeks off. A second said 3 weeks. Both released their statements about 2 weeks ago, so he might be back. It all depends on what Benitez manages to hammer out with Kewell. Personally I think if what he needs is a long, uninterrupted rest, then give it to him. He can be like a whole new (and fantastic) signing for the Reds (and Australia) if he gets back to his best.
