hey guys, im really really struggling with this text, i dont know what it is but im struggling to put into words the techniques and themes of the novel. Sure i know most of the conflicts, like Hatsue and Ishmael, Etta Heine and the Miyamoto family, Ishmael and his inner conflicts regarding the evidence, and trust in the Japanese. Also i dont know how to explain the techniques and put them into structured sentences, i know what the techniques are, such as metonymy, but i cant seem to relate it back to a question regardless what it is.

im not sure what it is about this book, but i can write about it. Any suggestions or anything constructive would be greatly appreciated guys. Thanks, JT
