17 and single.... Have been asked out but either absolute creepers or people in different stages of their life (ie - he worked 12 hours in the mines/day on a traineeship, and I'm still at school.)

I'm the quiet, shy type so that doesn't make it easy to get out there and be confident about it! I'll tell myself to go talk to him, but then I get scared and don't haha - any advice?
