i know this must be easy but im just so confused. lol

x+2=x+1 original question was find x when f(x)= x+1/
x+2

what? x+1 = x+2????
Those two values never equal. Check the question again.

Yea I think that's what the second part means.

If f(x) doesn't have a fixed value, i.e. isn't a constant, then x just doesn't equal -2, as you can't have 0 in the denominator of a fraction.

x+2=/=x+1, therefore f(x) can't equal one, therefore, if you're graphing it, y=/=1

this might be what you're asking?
