State the Similarities and Differences of an
Induction coil and transformer.

Was getting confused because i thought an induction coil WAS a transformer

thanks in advance.

An induction coil is an example of a transformer. At a guess they are after that induction coil works on DC, is a step up transformer, output is not a constant current but a PD build up, which is then released. Use of electromagnet as switch to turn on and off.
