Sure they do, but the consent with school children is more acute because they are bred to always be obedient to such authority

But if it's legal for a 16 year-old to be with someone older than them, then there's nothing legally stopping a cop, a judge, a politician, a doctor or anyone else in a position of authority from having sexual relations with the child. The child has still been taught to be obedient to all of these authoritative people.
So why does a seperate law apply to teachers?

And if the doctor starts dating a patient after their visit? Or if a cop screws someone they arrested for drunken behaviour? Or if a poltician falls in love with a campaign worker?

Although those scenarios above are completly unethical. Besides, if a doctor was to date a patient, they can loose their job immediately. I have seen and heard of this multiple amounts of times.
