Wow good to see you some of you stating some really smart comments.....You all seam to have some problem with christianity and God, when God is on your side, Lets clear this up for all the battlers.

1. God made sex, he made pleasure.
2. Christian couples (WHO ARE MARRIED) have more orgasms than non christian couples and unmarried couples
3.God loves you and everyone
4. No pre-marritel sex shouldnt be illigel or agaisnt the law, thats stupid and deafeating the point of the choice God gave us
5. The worlds view on sex and societys view on sex is both wrong in a christians eyes and a non christians, its not hard to see why with all the pain and trouble it creates
6. God hates religion
7. Get over trying to create the argument that religious nutcases are all for making pre-marritel sex illegal, no one who is biblical and who has been saved by Gods grace is a religious nut-case, we, like God hate religion and simply dont want to force our beliefs onto societal law but rather share with everyone the good news of Jesus.

Think what you want, say what you want, believe what you want but God has strengthened me beyond your words and payouts, all i can say is that i pray that God would show to you all the same grace he has shown me, im 17, i work out and have lots of freinds, go to parties, hang around girls, watever, i many non christian mates who do drugs and have sex and we can still live in harmony and i know thats hard to believe but were not agaisnt each other. There is such thing as a 17 year old virgin christian guy whos not socially retarted living and repping it for Jesus, so bring it on and say what you want, talk to me about it, id love to.

Wow, we are all dumber for listening to that. Firstly, Christianity is religion mate, big time! 1. The Government has no right to interfere with the private sexual relationships of persons over the age of 16 (age of consent). To do so would raise some highly concerning privacy issues.
2. People go on about a 'lack of committment' being a negative thing. If you practice safe sex, you should be able to go on sleeping around all you want; your life, your choice. Some people- myself included- would much rather have an exciting short-term or casual relationship or one night stand than a serious, long-term one, until old enough to actually seriously consider marriage. I would never want to be in a serious long-term relationship before I turned 24 at least. I'd rather 'try before I buy', if you see what I mean. Experience can be a good thing.
3. Some people may choose to never be married, including those with long-term partners. It would be absoultely insane to prevent, for example, a boyfriend and girlfriend of 6 years from sleeping with each other simply because they weren't married.
4. I know this topic was probably focussing on heterosexual couples, but I'm pretty sure gay marriage is still banned in Australia. So to ban premarital sex would be to force homosexuals to abstain for their entire lives. That's just not fair to them.

I'm glad you considered that too. I'm straight myself, but I hate seeing how people make assumptions- and laws- without actually considering how they affect minority groups. It's ridiculous that gay marriage hasn't been legalised; repulsive and blatant discrimination practised by our own 'democratic' government.
Also, I'd like to add that... I think humans take themselves too seriously. We get so caught up in our economics, politics, ethics etc. that we forget we are animals. Just animals. Highly intelligent, yes, but animals nonetheless. And the basic goal of all animals is to copulate. Why is it that despite being the most intelligent animals, we are the only ones stupid enough to try to obstruct our innate needs and aims?!
