My own physics mark that I got on the HSC paper was 92. My rank was 2nd in the course but since many physics students from my school did bad in the exam, i got an 86 for my assessment mark!!! This is really really unfair! :( i could have got around 99.3 if the other student's mark hadn't pulled me down 3 marks!!! Which is alot for physics...
I'm fairly sure that if you're ranked second your assessment mark wasn't affected by your peers. your 86 was a result of your assessments in school.

Noticed that the only people replying are those who got over 90, except for one person. I believe flaunting marks like this may make other people feel insecure about their marks if they were lower. This is just my opinion, so please don't harass me if you don't agree. I'm just saying it for those who feel it but might not want to speak.
I agree, I hope you all went well nonetheless !

I don't think the purpose of this thread is to allow people to flaunt their marks so much as it is to celebrate with the BoS community their successes/efforts, to try to revel in the excitement of themselves and of others.

It is the prerogative of the internet user to visit this thread, if they were to view it at their own discretion (with the expectation that some people may have done well), they can choose to leave if they feel uncomfortable. Let the people who post have their fun, it shouldn't be their responsibility to make sure every one of the lurkers are happy as well...

Hmm not sure about that, I've seen ATARS betwen 50 and 80 on this thread as well as the 90+ ones however the thread also has over 4000 views and about 100 posts so you could be right. Don't think anyone's 'flaunting it'

Agreed. People's pride in their hard work should not be taken as flaunting.

No. This form is a distorted view of the wider state, everyone should understand this when they come on.

So what if people who got over 90 are posting their results, nothing is stopping anyone else. Success is all relative and people shouldn't be concerned/judge their performance against others if they're satisfied from meeting personal goals.

So ... does anyone know someone who is spewing because they only got 99.90? (Asian of course)
A few kids from top 10 schools maybe.

Remember back in the days of UAI when some girl tried to sue the BOS just because they gave her a 99.95 and not a 100 UAI.

I thought she was suing because she had some hand problem and they didn't give a computer which caused her to get 99.95 instead of 100
Although i'm pretty sure she got a state rank in chem

One of my friends (non Asian) got 99.90, a bit pissed off as if he had an aggregate maybe 1-3 points higher both of us would have hit that elusive .95

99.05, pretty damn happy considering I thought I would never break that 99 barrier.
