Year 9- Romeo and Juliet
Year 10- Much Ado About Nothing
Year 11- Othello
My favourite so far is Romeo and Juliet because Juliet rhymes with Capulet and it's cool to have a rhyming name.

I like Merchant of Venice, Othello and Macbeth equally - the characterisation of the female support roles of Portia, Lady Macbeth and Desdemona in each play are especially good.

what's Hamlet about?
It would take forever to explain but very generally, its about hamlet trying to figure out whether the current king killed his father (the old king) by pretending to be mad. In doing this he has to figure out who he is as a person and why he reacts to certain situations the way he does. Its the play with the famous "to be or not to be" soliloquey.

It asks the big questions, why are we here, what is the point of living etc

Well I SINCERELY dislike Shakespeare, but since it's kinda compulsory for school.. I guess I'll warm up to it..
I've read Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet and Othello
And I'd have to say, Romeo and Juliet was by FAR the best

(I really want to read Hamlet/King Lear though, I hear they're the best Shakespeare)
