That was the basis of my decision, I know a lot of people doing whatver/llb degrees just so it looks good because they have llb shoved on the end of it. I was one of them, but I thought that I'm going to be working of the rest of my life and I might as well do something I'm passionate about rather than just trying to make a 'whoa, you did law' statement on my resume. And I'm not trying to start a debate, just explaining why I changed my degree.

But yet, again, moving back to the topic.

Yeah, it is a bit crazy working in prosititution comapred to most occupations people consider as 'normal', but everyone has their own moral and ethical limits of what they won't and will do, so each to their own I guess. It's like a lot of people say they will never go so low as to work in a McDonalds, doesn't stop plenty of others doing it does it. There's a reason why it's the oldest profession to still exist, its because theres a demand for it, and theres people willing to supply it.

Hahaha First thing you learn in commerce - demand and supply!! :) Pretty ironic

*Crap* Just realised your doing the same degree as I am, I think, didnt realise you can major in "Resource & Enviromental Studies" for arts - they told me I had to do at least one major from the arts faculity.

Resource & Enviromental Studies is actually an art major. It's good as the elective strands you can choose for it can double up on commerce subjects depending on what commerce major/s you have chosen. Have a look through the course handbooks at http://www.uow.edu.au/handbook/yr2004/index.html for all the details on respective courses.

And yep, it all comes back to Demand and Supply.

This is my 4th semester, I started mid-year. And most people should know what they want to do by the end of their first year, as by then most people have done their core subjects and find what they prefer most. First year is just to get into the swing of things and to work out what you want to do with the rest of your degree. Don't worry if you're not sure what you fancy because theres lots of subjects such as Law100 which are a part of many majors, but it tends to be beneficial so you don't waste time and money doing subjects that won't be counted towards your degree.

And yeah, I've got my majors worked out, even where I plan on working.... I guess it's the positives about procrastinating away from doing assignments and study.

I will never work at Mc Donalds, not because i do not want to, it is because my parents will not allow me to. :p

But remember that you'd be dealing with some of the less desirable people as well, including those little smelly, sweaty, hairy backed, moustached, mono-brow, bad breath, dirty little perverted men or women for that matter.

I guess it'd be like any job, a few positives and a few negatives.

Yeah, the girl I share a tutorial with, she earns $400/hr working for this escort agency which is almost triple the going rate for a Kings Cross brothel... but she's an absolute stunner and most likely well worth it. She pulls in $6000-7000 a week for roughly only 15 hours work. A uni student who owns their own new car and already buying a house, the financial rewards aren't too bad but it's definitely not for everyone.

She always buys the drinks after class ;)

It's just a matter of finding out what you enjoy and following that. Theres jobs for anything you study so you might as well do something you enjoy, because people think that they want to earn big money, but whats the point of earning 100k a year working 80-100 weeks with no life when you could enjoy what you do, work 40-50 hour weeks and get paid $55k a year but most importantly enjoy your life and free time.
