Actually looked forward to coming back today, had a 2 hr Phil lecture and 1 hr English lecture which clashed so I went to the 1 hr lecture then the second hour of the other one. English one was mega boring and pointless, the whole subject looks like it'll be pretty bad. We had to do this quiz thing to show our knowledge of Victorian literature so she could build the course from that (lol). Pretty remarkable how much I didn't know, I couldn't even name three Charles Dickens novels outside of Great Expectations (only got Christmas Carol and Oliver Twist) and couldn't name any other works of George Eliot. In my answer to "name three things expected of women in the Victorian era" I wrote "should be seen, not heard". We had to write our first name on it but she said if you're uncomfortable with that you can use a pseudonym. Hopefully she'll never discover that I am Max Power.

Oh yeah and in my Phil subject we're gonna learn about abortion and porn!

guess we can't choose groups for comp3615.

Waf what did you end up preferencing? haha in retrospect maybe it would've been helpful to have met you beforehand or something.

I know, right?
How was your trippppp?
You'll be FINE for uuuuni tomorrow. Unless you've neglected to buy textbooks, which one assumes you have.
the trip was amazing, i loved it.
you assume correctly about textbooks. i know one of them is the same as last semester, so that's a start. and i don't think i need many this sem

Oh and neb i forgot to say from the old thread. Yes trey parker writes all the material, but he'd be nothing without matt stone (not to mention matt stone provides half the voice cast). It'd be like terrance without phillip and we all know how that went. :|

lolz no wai, I barely talk in tutes let alone a lecture. Was this in Phil? I was sitting next to a chick who added something completely irrelevant to the discussion. Best part was when some guy said sexual abuse is mental abuse but not physical abuse and I was just thinking ohhhhhhhh shit's goin' down now but no feminists in the room I guess. I don't remember anyone yelling out in the English lecture.

I only had maths and bio today. Next monday I have 9am to 6pm, lol.

Em: fiddled with timetable, am going to have to keep it as it is, it doesn't get much better if I change it.

1 lecture today. Quite boring. And travelled to UNSW to Ramos-Horta. Only to be told that the public lecture theatre is filled. Waste.

yes this was phil. seems like a good course but 9/10 of the people who called out deserved a swift punch to the jaw

im too shy to talk in lectures, but ill say stuff in tutes if ive done the reading and wont make an ass of myself :shy:

some lady at the back near where i was sitting made a yelp when that dude mentioned sexual abuse and i was all like, lol.

haha nice, I thought it'd get a more angry response from someone. I only took it because it seemed like the only non-shit philosophy course but some of the topics seem pretty interesting. I had the lecturer as my tutor last year and she wasn't that great to be honest, whenever someone added anything to the conversation all she did was say "mmhmm...yep...yeah...mmhmm" but hopefully she'll pull through. I'm not a big fan of the numerous times she asked for questions, just do it at the end so I can have a mini nap instead of stop/starting
