Is PHIL1012 - Introduction to logic good?

I'm doing the BCST degree (B Comp Sci and Tech) and the PHIL1012 unit is a recommended unit but not compulsory. I want to know how it fits into the degree specifically. All i've gotten is the airy "programming is logic, lrn2logic" reason.

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Thread

Starting to regret not turning in work properly this semester, because if I had I'd have 100% in that and there's no way I'm going to pull <90% in the exam tomorrow. Fuck

Can't remember and I cant be bothered working it out now. Didn't you just replace x^2 with r^2cos^x r dr dx and then use the trig identities to simply and so on.

x=theta.
edit: im not sure im talking about the same question.

So you do maths on matlab? That's pretty bad. Matlab is easy to use for numerical integration!

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Thread

4*4 - 2((int 2-->0) x^2) = 16 - 2*(8/3)= 16 -16/3 = 32/3

Oh sorry, must have been thinking about something else. I cant remember, but I did it the longer way. (I didnt do it the way waf did it). I used rt(y) as a limit.

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Thread

Can't you just look at that and say it's a 4x4 box minus the area under the parabola?

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Thread

Ah crap I made a mistake in that one too, I drew it wrong, so I took the x values from -2 to 2. Hopefully ill only lose 1 mark for that.
