This is a questionnaire for Second-Generation Migrant Australians (BOTH parents were born overseas, and you were born here).
It's a lengthy questionnaire so please take your time if you are able. Highlight the corresponding answer.
I have difficulty in finding enough SGM to do my questionnaire so anyone willing, I would be grateful. Thanks.
If you have any issues regarding privacy, please PM me the questionnaire or feel free to e-mail it to amy.a.leung@education.nsw.gov.au

Your survey is quite interesting, except i thought i'd point out something you need to correct, as doing a survey on cultural/ethnic experiences, you need to diffentiate between religion and culture.

Your question here:

What other cultures make you feel that there is difference between that and your own?
  • Asian
  • Islamic
  • Greek
  • Sudanese
  • British
  • Indigenous
  • Australian
  • Other:

Do you notice anything odd in the options you give? Islam is a religion and Islamic is related to the Islamic religion, not culture. It is a separate thing. Someone could belong to say a Greek or British culture and still be Islamic (in the sense that they follow the religion). More appropriate would be to have Middle-Eastern or Arabic or Indonesian or South Asian etc. People of Islamic background come from all different cultures, however they do not belong to any such thing as an Islamic culture.

Good luck with your assessment.
