I read a bit, I'm more into Fantasy. My fave series would have to be The Gap by Stephen Donaldson.

I'm also more into fantasy. But with sci-fi I usually find myself reading dystopian novels like Fahrenheit 451, etc. Star Trek is also good.

I read sci-fi manga too, if that counts.

Yes, Dune is muchly good (though I don't go for the sequels much).

Timothy Zahn's Star Wars trilogy (can't remember what it was actually called, but it was good). And the Corellia trilogy.

Um, Star Trek original series are fun to read, especially if you have a vague understanding of Star Trek (or any sci fi) already.

I should shut up, I'm giving too much away.

I read more fantasy than sci-fi.

I like Traci Harding, though.

The Dune novels are great, but it is disappointing that the series never properly ended. Some of the Star wars novels are worth reading, and the one Traci Harding I have read made me want to seek out the sequels...it's on my list of things to do after the HSC

The only science fiction book I've ever read was Ender's Game for english last year. It wasn't bad but I can't say I'm really into science fiction. I agree with almost everyone else, fantasy is more interesting to me.

I played the Dune computer game once, does that count? :p

DOUGLAS ADAMAS ALWAYS COUNTS!

Backwards, by Grant Naylor (the pseudonym of the two guys who made Red Dwarf) is bloody good. It's set in the RD universe.

Colony by Rob Grant (notice the 'grant' in 'grant naylor'? That's Rob Grant) is an awesome book.

Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy is... complete the sentence (hint: the answer is "FREAKING AWESOME")

The Night's Dawn trilogy by Peter Hamilton is also good... if you can stomach around 4000 pages.

I've yet to read any Aasimov or such.
