A question to the Bachelor of Science kiddies. Do you know where you're going with your degree? Cos I sure as hell don't :|

Medicine, Vet Sci and Pharmacy people do not count for this!

Ummm at the moment, I'm looking at majoring in a field related to Microbiology... maybe Medical Microbiology and Immunology...

Even though I'm not in a BSc anymore, when I was, if I didn't get my transfer, I was planning in majoring in biology (as in, having almost nothing but biology subjects, lol), doing my honours, and then probably heading into some sort of research field.

Ahh, how I miss my BSc (I actually do!!)

i'm thinking herd health work, quarantine and epidemiology etc. Dunno at this stage, think i will try a few things out in 5th year and see how i go. Maybe be a District vet, doing more consulting work. So many options, ahhh!

Honours year and then hope for a graduate position of some sort (after completing my BA, given my current situation).

Pure Mathematics and Computer Science honours. From then I wouldnt mind working in either field, preferably combining both.

First preference is forensics, but I'm no fool - I know the odds of me getting a job in that field straight away are highly unlikely. I'll probably start off in a laboratory, maybe working with genetics/microbiology/PCR.

Although, ask me in a year and I'm sure it will be different.

but im doing it for a BMedSc so its a science degree not the MBBS

med microbio and immuno is VERY interesting ... I did my 3rd yr component last semester

and dental students can do BSc (Dent) as an extra....

its like I am heading off to the IT field...
Althought i can take an extra yr and do something related like B Sci(Computing, Maths) or B Sci(Computing, Statistics)..

but those two gives me the shits more than anything

usyd doesnt offer compsci/maths or IT/maths

Since I'm combined, the science degree is more for general interest than anything else. I'm focussing on biology and chemistry, it may give me an edge in cases involving bioethics, biotechnology, or relevant intellectual property.
