"vel pax vel bellum"

i think the first one is teh college motto, the other one is some random stained glass thing... it had a deer above it, if that helps...

can any of the resident latinheads translate?

that's just silly. it's like saying "either yes or no"... well they're opposites, so of course you have to choose one (or you could be indecisive and say "maybe"... :))

haha... i was driving past The Forest High the other day. their motto is "MAKING GREAT THINGS HAPPEN" yeah bullshit hehe
