It's about time this happened. I just hope that they don't change their word on this.

It makes me feel a bit better that my year wasn't the last to do the pointless SC.

Err, I thought there wasn't going to be another test. It'll be something for people who want to leave high school after year 10 or when they turn 17.

Yeh. The new credential is only relevant for those leaving before they complete the HSC. If you are going to complete the HSC, you dont have to worry at all about it.

That's basically it but with the school leaving age lifted to 17 there is no more point to it.

just because they dont have a school certificate test doesnt mean there wont be any extra test supplicating the sc test.. suckers think they got out on this one. they be wrong

I'm in year 9 and currently doing the year 10 curriculum for math. accelerated. The rest of my grade won't have to do the SC except the people in my math class ;(

talking about it for ten years, and now they finally decide to do something yet we all had to sit our school cert! rumour has it the new test will be harder ;D oh and p.s. for all the year nines who don't have to sit the school cert... you're not getting laptops either
