hey guys
just wondering whether anyone has an answer to this syllabus objective:

Outline some benefits and problems for the following examples of GMO’s:
Genetically modified salmon
Genetically modified pigs for xenotransplants
Genetically modified canola
(its under the topic biotechnology - in biology)

even just a little bit of explanation will do :)
thankyouuuuuuuuu

Wow the GM foods in your list are really specific. Is that really in the syllabus exactly like that :S?
I would not know the details for each of them SPECIFICALLY but generally GMOs have larger yields and faster growth, and often nutritious benefits.
Disadvantages would be potential harm to the ecosystem as they can turn out in unexpected ways, destroying other species, etc.... And GMO production advocates say that by producing GMOs the world will be able to get rid of poverty by producing massive amounts of food, but that isn't really true because it isn't agriculture that causes poverty in developing countries. It's got more to do with politics and the economy.
Hope that helped... a little bit

Science wont be that hard, just study mostly for M.C. questions, the rest is mostly source based but you still need to have a little bit of that extra intelligence :p

Good Luck

Having slept through most of my science lessons this year, I have no clue, but somehow managed to scrape 70% in my trials. Good luck, probably just what iRuler said if you're smart you will probably be fine. Lol.

generally textbooks follow the syllabus so i wouldnt worry
but exercise book kind of depends on what your teacher teaches you (but they should follow the syllabus)
