why not contribute another essay on the scaling process with at least some correct information, and you wont look like such an idiot (and im being generous when i say that). or you could just leave this thread since you dont really know anything about it. kthxbye.

Why don't you contribute another character essay on someone you've never met before you go visiting my intentions? That way you won't look like a total fuck-nut who would rather keep up a running commentary on the people in the thread a opposed to helping out. While I admit I can be wrong, everything I post is based on personal experience which is admittedly redundant because it's three years old. But it's a damn sight more than you're doing, so if you think you know better, why not back it up a with a little bit of help for the people who actually need it instead of simply flaming anything that moves and universites you've never been to? I'm willing to bet it's too damn difficult for you, though. After all, you did three units of something. To you, the people who are asking for help in these threads probably deserve to be in their predicament because they didn't do as well as you did.

Good luck with that attitude when you get to university. Chances are the people there will eat you alive in the first two days.

Well, since it's the season of giving, I'll give you another chance to come up with a wittier retort. Don't worry, I won't think any less of you for it (largely on account of the fact that I think nothing of you), but I can't guarantee others will share my sentiments.

Can i just say i think it is outrageously unfair!

You cannot put a scale on a musical or artistic ability- YOU EITHER GOT IT .....OR YA DONT!

I have friends that a brilliant at maths and science but couldnt play music or draw or paint to save themselves....just like i couldnt save myself in a chemistry exam.....

I think maths and science should be valued equally to creative subjects, as it is clear that SOME people who are smart may not be able to do those other creative subjects, just like the people who are able to do creative subjects cant do smart ones....of course this isnt the case with everyone, but im sure, like me there are many people who are either one or the other.

Its just like the left side and right side of the brain thing, its out of any ones control and I cant see why music or art can be scaled so low - it seriously outrages me.

I do music 1 and art because I love them and didnt put much thought into the scaling ....its ironic, all your life you are told you have a gift to be able to be creative and musical so why isnt it scaled as if its a gift?

I know. There's unfortunately a good reason for the way the scaling process works though, as I learnt.

Because of the current scaling process anyone can get a high UAI with any subject combination as all subjects are (as close to as can be) all measured on a level playing field. The old system basically encouraged everyone to do the "easy" subjects to get the highest possible UAI/TER. So be thankful.
