Hi Everyone!

Here is a sample Mathematics Extension 1 trial paper I made for my students last year. As I no longer tutor students, I thought it would be beneficial for the BOS community, if I uploaded it. It should be noted that some topics were purposely not tested, since my students had not learned them at that stage. Answers to the numerical questions are provided at the end, whereas solutions for "show/proof" questions have not been provided in the document itself. I did write out sample solutions for the whole test last year, so post in this thread if you would like my solutions uploaded for any question that is troubling you, and I will do so when I see your post.

Here is the link --> https://www.dropbox.com/s/xoine6a65olw4s1/Sample 3U Trial Paper.docx?dl=0

Enjoy!

Nice paper dude :D

you have a right angled isosceles triangle, so you get x = -y (it's negative since it's below the x-axis)

Equate the function from above and make t the subject.
