For my national study i have to " assess the key factors in the fall of the Romanov Dynasty". What main topics could i concentrate on? and how would i start with my introduction?

We had to study this in year 11. Try looking at:
the unrest in the cities - poor living and working conditions
the spread of communist and socialist ideology within the proletariat
the Tzar as a leader. Did his personality fit the role and why did he stay in control?
The role of the 1905 revolution
Rasputin and what the people thought of the Tzarina
The role of WW1.

I found it good to compare and contrast statistics from before and after WW1 so that you could clearly see how bad things got. Also the last days before the provisional govt. took control of the country.

talk about the russo-japanese war briefly but focus on the politics... its AALLL bout the politics, the revolutions... the romanov family itself, the impact WW1 had on Russian middle and lower class all that kind of stuff helps
and lots of quotes
i got 33 out of 35 for mine

what I am doing for my romanov essay structure is

chronologically and then stating if it was political economic or social effect/change

- 1894 Nicholas II became Tsar

- 1904-5 Russo-Japanese War

- 9 Jan 1905 Bloody Sunday

- October 1905 October Manifesto

- July 1906 First Duma

- June 1907 Stolypin changes laws to benefit landowners and businessmen

-1913 300 years of Romanov Dynasty in Russia

-1914 Russia enters WWI

-1915 Nicholas commander in cheif and alexandra is in charge

- Dec 1916 murder of Rasputin

- Feb 1917 Revolution that overturns Tsar's authority

- 2 March 1917 Nicholas abdicates

- October 1917 Bolshevik Party seizes power

-1918 Tsar and family are killed

all i can remember from my prelims is how the bodies got dumped in pits with acid = =
