Hooray, someone competent in Foreign Affairs. But what's 'human services', and why is it an individual cabinet position? It sounds like some crappy minor ministry.

What qualifications does Stephen Smith have to be the Minister of Foreign Affairs? What do you know about Stephen Smith?

There seems to be risk of jurisdictional overlap, but im sure there isnt.

Strange that McMullan was overlooked. There would have to be more to that story

Stephen Smith has had a few portfolios over the past few years. About a year or two ago he was the shadow industrial relations minister. Then he moved to education and now its foreign affairs.

I also reckon Julia Gillard has too much on her plate. Both IR and education are huge issues individually.

Education revolution? They don't even have a full-time education minister.

i actually think it makes sense combining education with IR, they're both closely related, and i wouldnt complain much about workloads, you do realise these people have hundrerds and thousands of people working under them.

I'm shocked that there is no minister for public accountability.

Ms. Wong was rather good in that role. Though now if she remained she'd have to rat on her colleagues or defend them somehow, I think a public accountability spokesperson from both sides would be rather good form.

But I suppose the government of the time doesn't want anybody to think about public accountability, and that is a portfolio for the opposition only. :(

Minister for Working Families?

Minister for Broadband?

Minister for 'Not throwing the fair go out the back door'?

Minister for New Leadership?

Think of all the new portfolios there could have been, apart from Climate Fucking Change.

IR and education are the two things i want most seperate out of all the portfolios we have in this country. the fact a communist wench is in charge of our industry AND our education funding is fucking horrific.
