why is it when i go to download any resource that is a doc. it freezes up ?
pdf's work but yeh docs wont.

Any reasons why ?

Try walking away for 20 mins and come back and see if its ok. It's more than likely it freezes while its downloading/opening.

It happens to me, and it sure looks like its a non-responsive program, but its really just loading. You look at what its doing and you're like "shittttt, it froze" .. but it hasn't.

yer but it opens and comes up with an error " could not establish an internet conection" and then "An API call exited abnormally"

Whats wrong ?

what web browser are your running
and what version of MS Office/Works are you running?

internet explorer and it starts opening with OpenOffice.org 1.1.1 but then errors ( as explained above) come up
