This has nothing to do with resisted motion however, whilst doing a resisted motion question, i got stumped by this integration:

Integrate dv/ (v + v^3) .

I checked the wolfam integrator however, I have no idea how to get such a solution with logs.

partial fractions:
1 / v(1+v) = [av+b / v^2+1] + [c/ v]
1 = v(av+b) + c(1+v^2)
when v =0, 1
get your terms
equation coefficients of x^2, then simultaneous with previous equation
you then get
c= 1, a= -1, b= 0
