Do you guys try remember your essays then tweak/reproduce them in the exam to suit the question?

Or do you remember themes/quotes then make the essay in the exam?

I find my best work is at the exam, i generally would not remember my essay because then in the exam i do worse than if i did it then.

Sorta same, i don't remember my essay, but make notes and quotes about the texts to various small questions

I think it is better to remember themes/quotes... My teacher told us about this blog http://hscenglish.wordpress.com/ and said to follow their essay guide and they said don't pre prepare essays
