What is the difference between reliability and validity?

Furthermore, what are some examples of assessing the reliability and validity for task 1 (i.e. Identify data sources, choose resources and perform a first-hand investigation to determine and compare heats of combustion of at least three liquid alkanols per gram and per mole)?

Idk if this is right but someone told me

Reliability-repetition
Accuracy-apparatus
Validity-variables

So for reliability you need to repeat the experiment
For accuracy you need to check your equipment is up to date, measuring things properly
validity only one variable can be changed at a time to ensure validity

I'll wait for someone else to give thier opinion though, I'm not confident with this at all
