Just wondering if anyone knew of any good related texts I could use for Maestro by Peter Goldsworthy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

(these are just a few off the top of my brain! I am using The arrival and North country for Maestro. Make sure you study them a fair bit because The arrival is difficult in my opinion!

well, im already doing William Street by Kenneth Slessor as a related text, but cant find another one. We got given one ' Guernica' By Picasso, its a painting about war and chaos but i dont see how i can relate that to Maestro, there are no common themes really. and its kind of annoying, coz i have my Trial LSC on wednesday for english.

i cant use another poem from kenneth slessor, or even use another poem as a related text. I also used 'The Arrival' by Shaun Tan for Area of Study, for the belonging. So i cant use that text either.

any other related texts that yous have in mind that arnt poems?

Thanks to a suggestion above I am going to try and analyse My country - Dorothea MacKellar as a related text for Maestro.


Also, did anyone else do Educating Rita or Witness?
