Eg. If i am to acknowledge Bob who was cited in Amy's journal .

Am i allowed to do this: [paraphrase Bob's ideas] (Bob, 2013 cited in Amy, 2009) ?
or does it have to be like "amy cites bob that [paraphrase bobs ideas]"?

Cheers

Yes, you can do it.

Depending on the style it can be as simple as " Idea" (Bob in Amy 2009)

Thanks.
Also, if i have 3 sentences with ideas from the same guy and page. Is it necessary to reference each sentence or can i just put it in the last sentence?

eg. Sentence 1. (Bob 2004 pg 81) Setnence 2(Bob 2004 pg 81). Sentence 3(Bob 2004 pg 81.

OR

Sentence 1. Sentence2. Sentence 3. (Bob 2004 pg 81)

Thanks!

It depends how you word it. If it is clear every time it is coming from the same place, you're fine to do it just once. If there's any ambiguity, it's safer to put them all in.
