Those majors sound more suited to a commerce degree, yes? Any reason your not studying a commerce degree? Regardless, neither of these are actually offered as majors for an Arts degree.

Bachelor of Arts is a very broad area. You can see all the majors and there course structures here: http://handbook.mq.edu.au/2017/DegreesDiplomas/Degree/Bachelor+of+Arts

Of those majors, the more management/commerce focused ones would be:

Arts Industries and Management - Specialises in management of performing and creative arts

Business Information Systems - Computing based course that does a lot of focus on IT project management and databases (I'm studying this, so let me know if you want more information)

Entrepreneurship - Fairly self explanatory

Environmental Management - Management of environmental risks and impacts. Less commerce focus, but with growing calls and requirements for businesses to reduce their environmental impact, it could be interesting and useful.

Environmental Law and Management - Similar to the above, with a more law and compliance based focus.

Human Resources- Managing people within businesses.

Information Systems and Business Analysis - Similar to the Business Information Systems major, with additional focus on analysis to provide a more broad skill set.

International Business - Probably the most "Commerce" like major, you'll cover a little bit of everything, but then have a focus on international businesses and the impact on Australia/Australian businesses.

Marketing - Again, fairly self explanatory.

There just some examples and obviously you can read through yourself and determine if any interest you :)

^Good advice

Also, there's a link to a 'course transfer requirements' pdf on this page:

http://www.students.mq.edu.au/stude...course_changes/course_transfer-undergraduate/

Have a look at the management or commerce oriented courses you'd wanna transfer into next year, look at the required units and GPA you'd need this year, and choose a major which contains those units. That way you can get straight into second year and not waste any time.

Play with your interests, you can always become more specialised in a postgraduate degree.
