dam, thats high
yeah, it is quite high, but you have to make sure that you do quite well right across the paper and allocate your time well. that's the key. realise that I dropped virtually all my marks in short answers and got full marks in both essays and 19 for multiple choice. so if you have one let down section, it can really impact overall! hope that helps a bit. :)

The good thing about accounting is that you do a lot of the work during Year 11, i.e. 70% of your mark is made up during Year 11 because what happens is, you do the HSC course kinda crammed into year 11 and then you do your HSC exam in november at the end of the year, and so when you go into year 12, the remaining 30% is made up of computer accounting stuff which isn't too bad! Most of the difficulty does obviously come from the stuff you do in Year 11 therefore, because you do get tested on it in the HSC. I got 96/100 in the actual HSC exam (which was worth 49% of the mark), however the bad thing is that they reduce your mark because some people do get 100, which explains why my final mark ended up being 92. The thing with accounting is that if you really work at understanding the concepts, the questions should fall into place and it shouldn't be too bad.

2u maths and business were definitely more work overall though, especially throughout Year 12, and completing a vast portion of the work for the subject while I was in Year 11 was useful.

Hope that helps!

So would you recommend accounting. As in do you think it is in some ways straight forward to study every topic individually and in a way "guarantee" a good score.

because i got 95 in my trials and im fourth out of 50 at a top 5 school so if i repeat the process in the HSC i should get an HSC mart of 95-96??

thanks
i was ranked 1st/67 by a considerable margin (4% raw), I went to sydney tech!! haha :)

potentially yes, if you do a repeat performance similar to your trial, you should get around that ! :D

although it seems that your hsc raw mark is lower than your trial in a lot of cases, as i got 99/100 for my economics trial.

ummm i probably wouldn't recommend accounting, because it was my "let down" subject in the end, despite me thinking it was going to be my best! LOL. i dropped legal studies during year 12 because I asked the tafe i was doing accounting at to give me my hsc mark and when they told me I got 96, I thought that's what would end up on my hsc so I dropped legal studies. and at the time I was ranked 1st for legal when I dropped, so I regret doing that. but, in the end, I still got more than I expected as an atar, so I'm not complaining! :)

do you think its because they mark harder?? or the HSC economics paper IS harder (like the short answer question)
because i swear at our school they give 20/20 essays for nothing... but then one of the teachers is a supervisor so he would know...so i'm not sure...

that's relatively like my trials lol. 20 + 19 for essays, 19 for mc, -6 for short answers :( i looked at your exam. i also lost most of those marks on the case study bit haha.

those essays were amazing tho idk how i'm going to get A range if that's what i'm up against lol. do people normally write 1500+ or is that just extreme pro

yeah, in my trial I didn't have the same issue losing marks in short answers, as I got 20/20, 39/40, 20/20 and 20/20 in my trial.

are you referring to the essays you purchased from me? thanks for the compliment haha! in response to your question about whether people typically write >1500 words, the answer is NO. I knew my stuff very well and so I was able to articulate it and knew exactly what I wanted to say. I highly doubt many if anyone apart from me got full marks for both essays to be honest. if you were to write over 1500 words and it is quality as well as quantity, you'd most likely get 19 or 20 for your essay! short answers cost me my 1st in the state though hahahaha!

omg, you are so brilliant, and I can't believe you the only person in the state to get 2 20s
