All of the above. I obviously won't dress a certain way if no one approves and it subsequently makes me feel embarrassed. I do often dress for comfort but I have to say though I am slightly ashamed what people say I look good in has an enormous impact on what I wear.

- Yes, we should behave and dress how we want, regardless of how we will appear to others, but I don't think that means chastising people for dressing how magazines or celebrities say we should. Fashion and clothes are about wearing something that makes you feel good and also fits with a vision of your personality. If someone says you look good in that or that suits you then it is inevitably going to rub off.

Yes, but I agree with fire flower: that is not the point of feminism, its just a side effect. There's a great Germaine Greer quote about feminism was wearing no bra and having a great time. Post feminism is prostituting oneself... paraphrased obviously. We can now wear outlandish and revealing clothes but I wouldn't say that the feminists who carried the movement approve of the current state.
