its a new syllabus point in automated manufacturing systems. Any idea on what it is? Is it okay if i just research it myself and understand it?

Thanks

It's not a new dot point - It was in the pre-2008 syllabus too.
And its in the old textbooks I'm pretty sure

Anyway, rapid prototyping is simply what it says it is. It makes prototypes quickly, advantages are that designers can quickly get a physical grasp on their design, and cut time and costs

Research it if you can but it really is self explanatory
