is there like some process where your school calculates and gives you a rank out of your whole school, like altogether, not just in subjects?

i suppose you could work it out from the atar estimates your school gives out.

ATAR is the only indication of your rank amongst your cohort. Hence why dux is determined by ATAR, not subject ranks.

This would vary from school to school.

My school only calculates dux from the assessment marks and frequently the top ATAR/UAI doesn't get dux. After dux no student is told where they came using the school's formula (at least not officially).

Each school is free to determine dux and other awards as it wishes and thus might tell students where they fall using that calculation but might not.

not sure how my school ranks us but they us an atar estimate based on our overall ranking. Like if they say ur ranked between 21-40 ur estimate is like 95-97.95

Yep, some do. Depends if they have the software or not. I think this is what most schools use: UAI/ATAR Estimator. Just ask your school for an ATAR estimate, probably in the careers department.
