The oscilliation of electron's generates a magnetic field, which in turn generates an electric field etc, ie an Electromagnetic wave is created.

It is self-propagating the electric wave generates the magnetic wave which generates the electric wave etc.

The radiation causes electrons in the recievers to oscilliate (ie a small current is created)

Some new questions on rado waves:

- If a radio was inside a metal box, would it be able to pick up radio wave signals? Please explain.

- This one is in my hw: describe three properties of radio waves discovered by Hertz.
(I can mention three (reflection, refraction, defraction), but what should I write to "describe" them?")

thanks a lot
