Radeon X1900XT 512MB.

Link.

Seems like they've improved performance 20-23% in 3DMark2005 & 2006 by tripling the Shader Units.

Cons: Performance has dissappointed some. Performance/Price ratio fairly lower than the 7800GTX 512MB & seems like another dreaded paper launch. But I ain't gonna go into this more until we see what nVidia has to offer.

It's easily the fastest card available now, and it's not a paper launch - they're available if you have the money. nVidia won't have anything new till March, with the G71 (assumingly the GeForce 7900), so ATi will finally have the top of the platform back for a while.

I'd certainly hope so, for those guys haven't had it easy since nVidia pulled themselves out of the pits and came up with the Geforce 6s.

No doubt, the top range X1800 cards were great pieces of engineering. ATi's first attempt at SM3.0 managed to outclass nVidia's second crack at it with their Geforce 7s, impressive AA/AF performance due to improved memory controllers and caching and hardware support for HDR with AA. I'm incredibly happy with my X800XT. But all in all, this industry is still a business and nVidia just had it better when it came to scheduling/stocking.

omg, I'll trade you my 6600GT :D, I won't let it go to waste!

hmm, the X1900 looks like a temporary win for ATi, and they've been playing catchup ever since nVidia released the 7800 series
