Hi, i was given this question with no taught knowledge from school chem teacher

Consider the Following,
a)electrolysis of water
b)melting of table salt
c)vaporization of diamond

For each of the process above, state the type of bonds broken and the types of particles (molecules, atoms or ions) being separated

Thanks

a) electrolysis of water: intramolecular covalent bonds are being broken, separating atoms to form hydrogen and oxygen gas

b) melting of table salt: ionic bonds between the sodium and chloride ions are being broken, ions are separated and able to move freely (meaning that molten and dissolved ionic substances conduct electricity)

c) vaporization of diamond: covalent bonds between carbon atoms within the lattice structure are being broken, requiring a lot of energy, separating the carbon atoms
