For B Arts, it says you need to "Choose 80 units from Two Majors. Each to have a Max. of 20 units at 1000 level and a Min. of 40 units at 3000 level."

Does this mean:

- 80 units total for 2 semesters, 40 each semester
- Max of 20 1000 level units out of any single major in any semester
- A minimum of 40 3000 level units, over the 2 semesters

Sorry I'm a bit clueless... Because if it means minimum 40 3000 level units for each major, wouldn't that mean you'd need 80 3000 level units, and only 3000 level units?

Thanks in advance!

That's okay, we don't expect much from Arts students :)

Most individual courses are 10 units each, and you are required to 240 units, which is *usually* 40 units a semester, therefore 3 years. You could also get away with 30 units a semester over 4 years, but that's up to you.

As the description reads, you need a minimum of 80 units in one major, a minimum of 80 units in a second major, and then the rest (maximum 80) from practically any course the university offers.

Of those 80 from each major, they need to be, as you quoted from the description: "Each to have a Max. of 20 units at 1000 level and a Min. of 40 units at 3000 level."

Some individual courses are available in only first or second semester, but apart from that you have no restrictions on when you do these courses throught your degree.

Hope this makes things a bit clearer.

Haha, blunt is good.

Yeah, you cleared things up for me as much as I needed. And I can do each 10 unit course in any order as long as I have the 80 in two majors and 240 all up, right?

Thanks and soduk.

Absolutely. You would probably be better off doing the 1000 level courses first though, as they're generally easier and will set you up for the tougher courses, but there's really no restrictions in place to make you do that.
