Say I have 2 preferences and I get offered the 2nd preference in the main round, and I accept that. Would it still be possible to get an offer for 1st preference in one of the later rounds?

Small chance because if you don't receive an offer for your first preference, it means all possible offers for that course were handed out. But of course people may decide to reject that offer, meaning you may have another opportunity in a later round. Good luck.

If your two prefs are not far apart it can work the other way around too. If offered 1st pref you can accept it then swap 2nd pref to 1st and possibly get it offered in second round as well. Then choose.
