Most Graduate medical programs don't care what degree you did for undergraduate (you can do Arts if you wanted to), excluding Monash university.

So do whatever degree you want and then apply for Grad medicine. If you are considering BForensics, you may also want to take a look into UNSW's Medical Science program since they offer their MedSc grads entry into their Medical program.

You can also sit UMAT whenever you want and keep applying to undergraduate schools like UNSW, UNE/UNCLE, UWS, UTAS, Bond.

Keep in mind that almost all post-graduate med courses require the GAMSAT, which is the UMAT on steroids and amphetamines. Either sit the UMAT and go undergrad, or start preparing for the GAMSAT early. Many people sit it multiple times.

Not planning on med but just curious

I know someone who did 1 year of medical science then went into med. How does that work? Do they factor in your GPA + UMAT result, or GPA + Atar + Umat result? OR highest of the two or what not?
