Account for the stability of electrons in an atom (Q2Q) 2mks
- So this question was posed to us BEFORE we learnt about De Broglie.
- Teacher states that my answer involving De Broglie "Standing waves" is invalid (I scored 0/2), as "we have not learnt it yet"
- Instead, my teacher was looking for "Stationary states" (Postulated by Bohr)

So, is my teacher's answer even valid?
Are teachers even allowed to do this?
Should I really get 0mks?

You should talk to him. DeBroglie's model should be considered as an answer. Or you could fight him! Best man gets those 2 points!

Check your assessment notification. If the curriculum point is there, then you can appeal.
