It looks to me like the formula IS the same
sqrt[(1 + v/c)(1 - v/c)] = sqrt[1-(v/c)^2]
and it seems that our smart prof has just multiplied tV times that to get tO.

It's sqrt[(1+v/c)/(1-v/c)].

Yeah, the professors formula is right... any 2 unit maths students SHOULD identify that this is (i think its called) a difference of two squares... if you expand his formula and then factorise, it is the same as our formula... I think...

As for the answer, im beginning to question myself

Well with all the bullshit you have to memorise for chemistry these days, you're bound to lose some stuff... and luckily it was english.. :p

edit: also, i didn't really memorise my change essays... haha another disadvantage of memorising essays..
